E-Learning Project - PHOTOGRAPHING THE COSTIER LANDSCAPE (December 2018)

After a lot of work, my and my collaborators, I have finally completed the shooting and editing of my online learning course "PHOTOGRAPHING THE COASTAL COUNTRY". It's one of the best things I've accomplished in the last few months and certainly the one that put me to the hardest test. It is, in short, the report of a whole day spent photographing in the coasts of lower Lazio. I firmly believe in this formula and the bill to propose it again, if I can, on media and TV.

Adventure Photo Tours (November 2018)

Among my activities the one that gives me the greatest satisfaction is the organization and the realization of specifically photographic journeys. Nothing is more beautiful than reading the wonder in the eyes of someone who sees a magnificent place or animal for the first time.
The Adventure Photo Tours brand was created for this reason. The travel offer is always very wide: they are all places that I know and in which I will accompany you personally.

New social and video channels (October 2018)

Despite not being an absolute fanatic of social media, I must recognize that they are the best medium, if used correctly, to reach a vast and varied audience.
That's why I opened two new video channels (YOUTUBE and VIMEO) and two new social channels (INSTAGRAM and TWITTER). At the moment they are empty or almost but soon I will publish my videos. Follow me and sign up.

Destimed Project (May 2018)

I was involved, in my capacity as a Naturalist Photographer in Latina, in a prestigious sustainable ecotourism project, which sees the Circeo National Park in the first row and a long chain of operators in the sector. The project is called DESTIMED and is financed by the European Community through the Lazio Region and involves 13 European protected areas that, at the end of the path, will constitute a global offer for a sensitive and cultural ecotourism.

Bayerisher Wald (April 2018)

In this month, I spent a long weekend in the Baviera, in the eastern part of Germany, where the Bayerisher Wald National Park is located. It is a rather unusual park because, despite protecting the last part of the German forest still intact, the animals that are there are locked up in environments that can not be defined as cages (sometimes they are entire fenced hills). They are however endemic animals in their original environment. And the animals are large mammals such as lynxes, bears, wolves, elks and many other minors.

Short hike on Etna Volcano (July 2017)

I have been for two consecutive days on Mount Etna in Sicily. Etna is a very important volcano. I could say that it is "THE" Volcano. Modern vulcanology owes much to him. The Sicilians living on its slopes call it Mongibello and represent the constant presence in their lives. I wanted to photograph the flowering of Saponaria, a bush that grows on lava detritus, and I must say that the results were satisfactory because the blooms were spectacular.

Jury and Closing of the 1st Photo Contest "FLYING FORMS - Mechanical and Natural Wings" (June 2017)

The 1st National Photo Contest "THE FORMS OF THE FLIGHT - Mechanical and Natural Wings" that I organized for my deartment, the 4th Telecommunications and Systems Brigade - Air Defense and Flight Assistance (4th BTS - DA/AV ). The jury formed by me, by Luigi Passero, President of the PhotoClub Latina and by Virgilio Bardossi, FIAF delegate and Jury President, selected the winners among many excellent photographs. The award ceremony was held in Piazza del Popolo in Latina on June 1 at 19.30.

Photographic trip to Spain and Portugal (May 2017)

I was, for the second time, in the beautiful Coto Doñana National Park for a photographic trip along with 4 photo friends. It was great as I expected. Thousands of birds of all kinds and hundreds of extraordinary photographic occasions. It's an experience I'll do soon. I will propose a workshop in such fantastic lands as soon as possible. I also visited Portugal, in detail the Parque Natural do Sudoeste Alentejano and Costa Vicentina and the splendid Algarve coast. The galleries early.

Photographic exhibition and report on photography and art at the Museum of Pontina Earth of Latina (May 2017)

I set up a photographic exhibition at the Terra Pontina Museum in Latina. I exhibited 12 works in the Great Hall of the Museum. Also, within the event that hosted the exhibition, I kept a very intriguing relationship about the parallel between my way of photographing and the pictorial method of the Impressionist painters of the early 1900s. It has been extremely engaging and is a way I will follow.

Organization of the 1st Photo Contest "FLYING FORMS - Mechanical and natural wings" (February 2017)

I was appointed Curator and Organizer, as well as one of the three jurors, of the 1st National Photo Contest "THE FORMS OF THE FLIGHT - Mechanical and Natural Wings" for my department, the 4th Telecommunications and Systems Brigade - Air Defense and Flight Assistance 4th BTS - DA / AV). We gained the collaboration of the Latina Photo Club and the Pontina Cultural Association. The competition is recommended FIAF and will end in June 2017.

Photography course at 4th B.T.S. - D.A./A.V. - Military Air Force of Latina (October 2016)

I was pleased and honored to organize a photography course commissioned to me by the 4th Telecommunications and Systems Brigade - Air Defense and Flight Assistance 4th BTS - DA/AV) of Borgo Piave, Latina. The course lasted about two months and ended with a photographic day in the splendid location of Torre Astura.

Back from Scotland (July 2016)

I just returned from another trip to Scotland where I was on 4th to 18th of July. I had been to this magnificent land but in winter. I was back in the middle of summer above all to try to photograph some of the millions of seabirds that nest there. And of course, the magical landscapes. Soon photographs. A preview in initial random frame.

Photo Contest "Earth is Art" (May 2016)

I am a judge in a photography contest organized by the Rotaract of Terracina-Fondi towns.
Take part numerous with the best pictures that you manage to shoot. In late May the feedback and the results.

New "Sicilia 2009" gallery (May 2016)

Revisit and re-edit these digitally photographs, scanned in high definition, was for me a pleasant blast from the past (and not only in "my" past but in the one of photographic art).
In September 2009 I made this trip to Sicily and I have made many beautiful analogic images. Here those who I'have been able to recover from the time and mildew.

New website editing (April 2016)

I finally completed the editing of the site work. I'm not speaking only on the aesthetic and functional side but I re-edited "all" the images and I have included many other (also in new galleries). Leaving the possibility of access to the entire archive, I've inserted three PORTFOLIO galleries (landscapes, macro and wildlife) that show only my best photographs.

Sipa International Contest (October 2015)

Two of my photographs have been chosen among the finalists of the prestigious international contest  Siena International Photo Award . It’s  a great satisfaction to have placed two photographs among the hundred best of the  16.000 of the competition.

Photo of the Month (June 2015)

The photo-portal Travel and Mirages, which I am registered, appointed a photograph of mine about Ventotene island, like "Photo of the Month" for June. It's always nice to know that your work is appreciated and recognized from a portal very seriously as Travel and Mirages. Thanks to everyone who voted for the photographs.

Iceland (Aprile-May 2015)

Between the months of April and May I spent 12 wonderful days in Iceland. The trip was organized by me on behalf of the Photo Association of Latina town  FACTORY10, where I teach  the course of Nature Photography . It has been a magnificent journey in places photographically exceptional  both for landscapes than for animals. Here the galleries.

Zakynthos (March 2015)

I plugged, in the landscape, a new gallery with some photographs of the Greek island of Zakynthos (Zakintos). They are all shots taken in analog recovered after a scan and a cleanup in Photoshop.

Croatia - Plitvika Jazera (October 2014)

I'm just back from Croatia. I photographed the magnificent scenery of the Plitvice National Park, Unesco world heritage site, and perhaps one of the most beautiful places in the whole of Europe. A valley where two rivers give rise to 16 lakes at different levels that are connected with numerous waterfalls. Here the photographs.

The portal Travels and Mirages published an article of mine on the Coto Doñana Park a scenic park in the south of Spain, which, in my opinion, is without any doubt, one of the best places for photography of birds in Europe.

On 30 October at sources of Aniene river, near Filettino in Lazio region, while I was alone on a mountain trail through the woods, I was struck by a heart attack. I owe my life to Policemen (Carabinieri) Station of Filettino, that rescued me up there. I extend my debt of gratitude to all the medical, paramedical and auxiliary staff of the Hospital of Frosinone, thanks to which I can continue to cultivate my passion and, above all, my children can grow up with a father at his side.

The portal Travel and Mirages, particularly active in the promotion of photography and travel reportage, wanted reward me with the publication of an article dedicated to me. In addition to my photographs is my profile, a nice interview and a brief biography.

On October 13 I set the Workshop on autumn colors of Abruzzo. The participants, under my supervision, were able to enjoy the wonderful nature of the Simbruini Mountains Park, in the areas of Cappadocia and Petrella Liri, environments absolutely intact and beautiful. In the afternoon, the group moved to the plain of Campo Imperatore, at the foot of the Gran Sasso, to photograph the sunset and realize Startrail and night photos at the foot of Abruzzo.

This year I managed to find in the Park of Circeo, a colony of bee-eaters very extensive and very easy to photograph. These colorful birds are in good health and are in constant increase. I was able to observe them in the process of courtship and I obtained , I believe, very significant shots. And it is not over yet!

After about 10 years I have returned for three days on the island of Ventotene. This island, where I spent my youth, is still a real gem and offers very special photographic opportunities. Good vision.

I posted some aerial photos that I was able to shoot from a small Piper with which I was brought, together with the other 5 finalists of the photo contest "Ulysses Photo Tour". It was something I wanted to do for a long time. Good vision.
