Adventure Photo Tour is the brand that organizes the workshops and photographic journeys that will have as a guide and as a photographic support the Photographer of Nature Alberto B. Scalia. The contents proposed by this brand, its travels and its workshops derive from a careful analysis of the needs of naturalist photographers, as they have been shown in recent years.
The philosophy behind the organization of these photographic journeys lies in trying to offer all the opportunities, or at least as much as possible, to the nature photographer who intends to invest in a journey from which he would like to obtain exciting and engaging experiences, which allow him to make important photographs and to enrich his portofolio in a meaningful way.
From this point of view, some clarifications must be made.
Certainly as far as landscape photography is concerned, the results are practically certain, unless we are dealing with photographs of very particular phenomena (for example the northern lights) for which a certain degree of uncertainty is obviously given. Although there may be problems related, for example, to weather conditions that may, perhaps, prevent some sessions, one can be sufficiently sure that almost all targets of the journey will be achieved.
The case of animal photography is different. Obviously the variables in this kind of photography are greater, having to deal with living beings that can undergo various conditioning and, perhaps, unexpected. |

And it is precisely here that the knowledge and competence of the guide that will accompany the participants intervenes (unfortunately this is not not always certain):
Alberto B. Scalia has, for this reason, selected, among the many possible, 8 trips in areas of which he has deep direct knowledge for having practiced them for several decades. Places where he himself has photographed the landscapes and fauna that we suppose to portray and which, with sufficient probability, will also be photographed by the participants in the trip. It is obvious that this also depends on the elusiveness and rarity of the animal in question. So, if there are no problems in photographing gannets, puffins, seals, deer and so on, it will be less certain to be able to shoot (in a photographically acceptable way) other more shy and elusive animals.
In any case, the range of possibilities offered by each of these trips (which are nevertheless always organized in true sanctuaries of nature), is so wide that it has never occurred to date that a group has been disappointed by the experience. On the contrary, many times the exact opposite occurred, whereas the journey was accompanied by unplanned experiences (and photographs).
Alberto also encourages all those who intend to share with him one of these experiences, to contact him directly and to present any needs, even particular, to find a shared solution for any problem. |
