MILKY WAY and STAR TRAIL

Cost:

€ 180 (included digital procesing lesson)
€ 120 (excluded digital procesing lesson)

Duration = 1 night and an afternoon for four hours of digital processing
Period = from September to March
Participants = 4 to 10 people

The location for this workshop will be the area of the National Park of Circeo, or an area adjacent to it. Despite the strong human impact, and the resulting light pollution, this park still has interesting areas with little diffuse artificial light in which we can effectively implement a late night shooting. We will photograph the Milky Way and realize a Star Trail section with teacher tips. This kind of photographs needs a particular digital processing, dedicated to photographs of the Milky Way and Star Trail. In the lesson we will ilustrate the most advanced and effective processing techniques.
To those who partecipate to the lesson is strongly recommended to use a notebook with an installed version of Photoshop.

Night of the shooting:

18.00: Ceck in workshops. Appointment at the village of Borgo Grappa. Brief introduction to the methodology to be used in the shooting;
19.00: Moving in the chosen location and realization of the first shots for the setting;
20.00: Start of the shooting section;
02.00: End of the Shooting section;

Lesson: (to be agreed with participants)

RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT:

- Tripod
- SLR reflex ( double SLR is recommended for those who create the Star Trail)
- Wide-angle lens
- Intervallometer if the camera is not supplied
- Simple cable release if you plan to carry out a star trail

CAUTION:
For those making the star trail it is strongly recommended the use of two cameras because this will allow you to focus on all stages of the Milky Way with a camera while the other carries independently the Star Trail.
